Never really saw service as it was deemed too expensive and a "waste of fighter parts"... Seeming as the 111 never gets used, we likely won't see this, but still <Insert good reason to put it in AH2 Here>

Never really saw service

That's an understatement. The only prototype ever build was actually finished by the French post war.

Legend has it that it could bomb continental USA.

Exactly that, a legend. Range wasn't even remotely near the requirement for such a mission.

Did a bit of research and proved myself wrong. Cheers.

The plans for it (apparently) were on Goering's desk in 1942. Goering believed it was "a waste of fighter parts"... As which he felt the same for most German buff designs.

Well <sigh> ....  look on the bright side .... We can still play with this one.

Fighter pilots win glory .... Bomber pilots win wars.

If you look at the numbers, the He 111 is actually  not a very efficient perk farmer...

I'd guess Ki-67 or G4M1 are the best bomber perk producers.

IIRC, Lusche has said the Boston has the greatest theoretical perk/hr yield of any bomber in the game.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

20 points for 1.5 town centers and land sortie. At least it was the last time I flew it.

But you need to account for a bombers bomb load and its OBJ.  Speed and climb are important too.   The only thing the He111 has going for it is a pretty good sized bomb load.

I found the Boston's fuel endurance to be dodgy.

What do you mean by efficient, perks per time, per sortie, per destruction? I'm not a reliable witness but I have been impressed with the perk score using the 111.  Can you supply the identity of the most efficient perk farmer and its efficiency criteria? I'd like to know if the he111 is efficient per sortie as that's what I was going by based solely on experience and bomb load to obj. Thanks.
