Geez arlo.  :rofl

When I run across something I think is cool, I share the wealth (what can I say?).

There were other buff/bomb-load profiles but they weren't modeled for the game (yet).  :D

Amazing video to watch, and it also has some interesting information on the various bomb loads for lancs

What is the source for those load outs, Arlo?  I'd like to read more on them.    Thanks.

Been thinking this for awhile now and finally decided to make a wish about it.

I have watched a few programs on the History channel on various bombers, but I don't consider myself 'all that' or anything, but out of curiosity. How come we are only able to choose all of one type of bomb, yet unable to "mix and match" so to speak?  Like with the B29, All 500s, All 1000s etc. Why not a mix of 1000s 500s 250s or even 100s?

Lancs, B17s, B24s, B25s, A20s, Boston IIIs, B29s etc etc.  Almost all the bombers we have are able to carry a variety (some larger than others) of bombs.

I was simply thinking of the possibly of players being able to choose how much of what type of bomb they could take.

For example: Lancasters.  Carry roughly 12-14k (depending on current loadout) Between the 14 1000LB, and 18 500LB & 1 4000LB.  So, why not make it so I could choose.. say, 1 cookie 6 500s and 4 to 6 1000 lbers?  (Or any configuration that was under or equal to 12000-14000 lbs.)

Note: This would be an option for all bombers, but the Lanc was the only one that came to mind  :D

While I can think of a few reasons as to why HTC didn't add this feature. I am just curious what you guys think of it.

Just a thought.

It's probably a limitation of the ordnance system in game, which is the reason why we don't have a lot of ordnance load outs that were historically used during the war.

6 (or 7?) options per column I believe.  It looks like HTC has the ordnance options sorted between wings, bomb bay, and gun/ord packages (110G-2, Me 410). Or, any combo as needed as long as it is relative to the limitations of the load out (Me 410 = 50mm gun OR bombs).

The other thing we have to keep in mind is that I'm sure HTC will put in the more common bomb load outs but they also have to take in to consideration which options will and will not be used in the MA.  Who would use the 4000 cookie and 50/50 lb bombs vs the 4000 lb bomb and a mix of 500 or 1000 lb bombs?  Remember, there are only a certainly number of option slots.
