So... I know I've been gone for a while. I've been working hard at school, at the battalion, etc, and just don't have time/money for a decent computer lol. But for those who remember me, I really wanted to share the news...
A bit of a background on me: I have wanted to be a Navy pilot for as long as I could possibly remember. I was one of those kids who aw Top Gun as a kid, and it was love at first sight. I joined the Civil Air Patrol when I was 12, got my private pilot's license at 16, and I'm a Midshipman in the Navy right now, commissioning in May. As a midshipman, we get selected for one of 5 main categories of officer, called service selection: Pilot, Naval Flight Officer (Back seat; Think Goose), Surface Warfare Officer (General sailor on a ship), Submarine officer, and Special Warfare.
Friday afternoon, we found out that service selection was in, but they wouldn't tell us what we got. All weekend I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think about anything else. Finally, just a few minutes ago, I was called into my CO's office to find out how I would be spending the rest of my life...
I'M A PILOT!!!
