I read in that article that some of the 109-E/N's were modeled to fly off carriers, unless I misread that.. would it be possible to have that be able to take off from a carrier?

Would be nice if possible.

That's about all the wish would accomplish. The T is essentially the E. Redundancy
with German equipment fans now being able to launch the 109T(E) off the AHII Essex.

Personally, I don't see the value. *ShruG*

(And I certainly don't see value in the OP request.)

You can already land a land based plane on a cv, rearm wait a few hours and take off again. What you're asking for is HTC to further wussify an aspect of the game thats already too supernatural for my liking.

Then we should probably remove all the Japanese carrier planes from the list of aircraft you can spawn on a CV, same with the Seafire/Sea Hurricane. While we're at it all the early F4U variants too(Or figure out a way to perk them ONLY when spawning from a CV.)

You're the one who brought up the fact that it's an Essex class carrier. Just trying to tailor the game to suit your needs.  :)

Actually, I'm the one that's arguing against you trying to tailor the game to suit your 'needs.'  :)

You're asking for a 109T because 'it saw combat and was intended to be flown off a carrier.'

The game already has the 109E, which is basically what the 109T was when it saw combat. The
carrier it was designed for never saw service.

Unless you're just wanting to spawn a 109E off of CVs in the main .... wish .... granted. Next.  :D

(P.S. Just land and rearm your 109 off of CVs in the main, anyhoo. You can pretend it's a T off a German CV.) :aok

Messerschmitt Bf-109T

Originally, the planned fighter for the carrier was to be a variant of Messerschmitt's highly successful and adaptable Bf-109. The "T" was a modified "E" model, with a larger wing, four catapult attachment points, a tail hook, manually folded wings, and a strengthened landing gear. Its guns consisted of two fuselage-mounted 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns, with provisions for two MG-17 machine guns or two 20-mm MG-FF cannon in the wings. A Daimler Benz DB 601 engine could power the machine to fly at a top speed of 350 MPH.

After the design was accepted by the Kriegsmarine, because of the demand on production at Messerschmitt's Augsburg plant, the program was transferred to Fieseler. Ten Bf 109E-1s were taken off the assembly line and designated Bf 109T-0, as pre-production machines. Sixty Bf 109T-1s were also ordered from Fieseler. However in April, 1940, work on the Graf Zeppelin was halted, and then finally canceled in early 1943. Fieseler finished making the 60 Bf 109T-1s, but without the catapult hooks and arrester gear. Without these carrier features, they were re-designated Bf 109T-2, and were fitted with a ventral bomb rack for various bomb loads. Bf 109T-2 deliveries started in March, 1941, and most were assigned to Norway, another place where carrier-type aircraft were useful on short airfields and in mountainous conditions.

Vaguely, I remember 109T's having larger wings, so more turny... they bragged that their 109(t) was at least adjusted for a CV use, said that the English CV planes were the same ones, ONLY with a hook.

Just give us the ability to STASH ANY PLANE on a CV that we can land it - then we can up a 109k4 from a CV!

Can anyways, like someone was saying, just land but not exit, then afk for an hour till the CV gets to the destination, but that would sux!

I figure these kinda wishes are too slow a lead-up to the ultimate desire of the Luftgasm group.

Just give in to the moon base on the next update. Now, a way to get there and back is another thing.

Here I am picturing a whole buncha stored toys for Franz Von Schlowy on the moon.

Walk me through please. If you were able to do this you outsmarted me

All I did was wall the throttle and give just enough rudder so my right wing didnt clip the island.  I dropped the flaps right around when I passed the island and and other than making sure the nose was up before my wheels left the deck it wasn't terribly difficult. Were you using a B25H?
