Unless someone besides Hitech or another HTC graphics person knows the answer.
Building gunsights in 512x512 makes 2pixel = 1Mil.
Is that only if the mil file uses 256 in it? Or, if I modify by increments of 32, 64, 96 and so forth between 224 and 320, does 2pixel=1Mil change to another proportion varied upon the number in the mil file?
I've been experimenting with changing the mil file number to fit the 100Mil, 101Mil, 105Mil and 120Mil gunsights to the different default head positions now that we have so many generations of art instead of using the page and arrow keys with F10. In some cases like the San Giorgio tipo C and the PBP1 Late which have 120Mil rings. Im fitting them to the default head position by using 224 in the mil file. With the Grumman fighters and Corsairs, I'm using 320 to fit the Mk8 reticle to the proportion size I'm seeing from ww2 photos. Using 224 for the Revi, all the default head positions in 109\190 show the 100Mil ring to the proper proportions on the reflector plate.
I'm trying to find a way to not have to tell people they have to adjust their default head position to use some of these historic gunsights other than include smaller main ring versions that are not authentic.
