For a lot of families this would be their last photo.
My Dad when he was 17, from the hills of NW Arkansas just out of boot camp before heading off to fight the war in the Pacific against the japs. Cannot ever remember him saying Japanese.
My Grandfather on Mom's side before heading to Europe with the Army in WW1.
A number of other family went off to fight from WW1 to Vietnam but don't have their pics readily available. Loved to hear those WW2 vets chatting when I was a kid.
Also, these fellas should also not be forgotten. Blessed to be a descendant of this person. My Dad remembered John Renta Baker's granddaughter, which happened to be his great grandmother.
