I have been looking for a car and I found one with 3,800 miles on it for $13,900. Five speed manual tranny. It is not loaded. Just a base model with XM and limited warrenty 100,00 miles. I normally but 30-35k miles on my car a year. What do you guys think?
I worked for GM/Chevy for a number of years, and drive a Cruze 2LT myself. If I can offer a bit of advice, get the 1.4L turbo, not the 1.8L. It seriously makes a world of difference. The 1.8L isn't necessarily a bad motor, just under powered and doesn't touch the fuel economy of the 1.4L. I average 40 mpg with my 1.4L on the highway, and with a few slight tricks, can get 42 mpg or better. Overall, the Cruze is a good buy. Just get at least the 1LT. Don't go with the LS. You may pay a thousand or so more, but you won't regret it in the end. The fuel savings alone are worth it. Make sure to buy it from a GM dealership so you get it certified. That'll give you an extra 12,000 miles warranty, roadside assistance, and 2 years of oil changes and tire rotations. Also, it doesn't hurt to swap out the headlights for something a bit more aggressive.
