Is anyone running AHII on a modern Linux distro using WINE? The last AppDB entry at WineHQ is over 3 years old. I was thinking of setting up a dual-boot on my home machine, but I'm not decided on a distro to use...knowing if there's one that works particularly well with AHII would help greatly in making the decision.
So...any linux folk?

Yes. I run Aces High V2.31.3 with the current version of PcLinuxOS on 7 different computers. Two desktops and 5 laptops. All of the laptops are Lenovo T61p running between 2 and 2.4 Ghz. Always with nVidia graphics. Frame rates are about 60% of what I get on Windows using the same hardware and same graphic details. With Linux, I usually run with minimal graphics details and minimal detail distance. This gives me frame rates between 50 and 60.
I also run Aces High 2.12.4 on all of those same machines. Similar frame rates.
Using Wine version 1.6. I didn't need to tweak ANY of Wine's options. It just works.
I need about 15 minutes to put PcLinuxOS on a new computer. (It takes more time than that to rip Windoze off.)
Lately, I've been having fun running PcLinuxOS from flash "thumb drives". It works in most computers I find, and overcomes a lot of problems that Windoze users just live with....
Here are some videos showing how I do it:
