I mean essentially, we'll be telling at least 5 players that they'll be sitting in the tower or on runway for most of the event, and that after their one sortie, they're done for the night.

I'll do it.  More time to drink beer.

My only issue is the one life for the Me 163 pilots, and the nature of their aircraft.

1) you cannot rearm it.
2) VERY little powered loiter time after the climb to 30k. This means sitting on the runway until bombers come relatively close
3) very limited ammunition
4) landing may very well be dead stick

There is no minimum number of either ME-262 or ME-163.  The C-in-C can choose to not use them.

So it's either don't use the weapon, or one squad gets screwed over?

That doesn't seem fair either.

I think a second life would be appropriate for the 163, regardless of if there is a minimum number or not.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

With the engine off the 163 can coast a long way. Also if you take it off autopilot you don't need to drop the wheels, which means you can jump to a forward base rearm and repeat until you make contact where then you report it, and then drop them.
