We are having a memorial flight in honor of Barbara, at 8PM, EST, in the main late war arena, featuring B=29's.

I just read in the general forum that you're a Rook! I love you!

I am truely sorry Earl. I hope you take solace in the knowledge that she is with god and you'll meet again one day. In the mean time I can't wait to read more of your posts. The knowledge contained in them is priceless.

:airplane: Its very hard for me to explain the emotions that I have gone through in the past 2 months. first, her two heart attacks and the doc's saying she would never recover, then placed in nursing home. Just the day before she passed, she was actually walking with  me in the hall way outside her room and I thought, she is going to beat this thing.
Then that dreaded phone call the next morning at 6AM: " Sir, your wife walked the halls all night and we finally got her to lay down at 4:30AM and when we went back to check on her at 5:15AM, she was gone"!
I was crushed!!
She was cremated and I now have her at home with me, so I have some little comfort that she is still with me. She was a great woman, wife and friend. I truly believe she is looking down on all of us. She was the one who inspired me to post so many different aircraft, along with a story about them. She used to log in and read the different post's about all the different aircraft stories posted in this forum. We get three different aviation related maz each month and she used to, up until about a year ago, read every line in all three maz's
Thanks for all the comments and I can see the compassion in them, and for that  :salute to all and maybe some day we will all be together again in Heavens airforce.
