Fascinating..great work!

Here's a question to ponder....

Tour 11 was left out of these stats, but the ratios are still interesting, despite the 3-week tour.

In Tour 10, The CHog had 1.4 times more kills than the Niki.

In Tour 11, The CHog had 2.5 times more kills than the Niki.

Between Tour 10 and Tour 11, there were no major game tweaks, no planes added, and, most importantly, no CVs added...

Why the big increase?

The map made the difference.  The beta map tends to be crawling with ostwinds.  These lower the k/d of the F4u-1c and the Typhoon more than the N1k I would imagine.  (Who in there right mind tries to attack an ostie in anything but these 2 planes without bombs.)

The beta map also suits the fighting characteristics of the n1k over the 1c.  The fights tend to be lower and the furballs larger.  Top speed and raw firepower is not as important as e-retention and turning.

Not me! Notice how the K/D ratio for the P-51 dropped from 1.0137 to 0.9886 and the La-5s has risen from 0.908 to 1.0812?  Can all that be attributable to me??

Since I've started flying for perkies, I've given up on the Stang for the La-5! LOL!

How dweebs are those Spitfire IX pilots?
And those Zeke pilots? Oh yeah, furballers.

I would have to say I'm one of those idiots.. I tend to have a k/d that hovers around 1.0 sometimes a little higher sometimes a little lower. I would attribute that to 2 planes and mostly my flying. The N1k which consisitently outflies me and the F4u-1c who only needs to get any kind of shot (HO or otherwise) to kill my plane.

I was talking about the ratio in total kills of the CHog vs. the Niki, NOT the K/D ratios of each plane.

More ostwinds should have caused the total Chog kills relative to the Niki to go UP, not down, as more people flew them to kill Ostwinds.

I think more people simply figured out the CHog was a better uberplane than the Niki. I suspect even without the addition of CVs we would have seen the gap widen this tour (though obviously, not to quite the obscene levels we see this tour); unfortunately the addition of CVs pollutes  the data so you can't tell.

Basically, overall, I think the sole problem with the wonderful posted tables, because Tour 11 is left out,  is that you'll get people saying..

"See, back before the CVs, there weren't that many more CHog kills than Niki or Spit IX kills...all of the massive increase in CHog kills was from adding CVs" when, when you look at the missing Tour 11 data, it's obvious that Chog usage was rocketing upwards rapidly relative to the Niki and Spit BEFORE the CV was added.

The Chog has more kills than deaths vs. every AC in AH except 1.  Which I find quite funny.

The 190A5 is the only current plane that has more kills on the Chog than deaths by it. (284 kills on the Chog vs. 261 deaths by it).

This was as of today in Tour 12.

Any one think maybe that if more people are added that the stats are going to change. Im sure there are more people playing the game so if the new ones end up Flying the chog than you can see any increase.

Go away, plebeian newbie. You got a problem with the truth boy?

You've been here too short to see what's going on, and you're reeking of vile vomit. You're an environmental risk; deforestation is caused by the constant need to wipe your mouth with toilet paper. At the risk of sounding nice, you make as good an impressing as two perpetually stoned lab mice with human ears on their backs and incidentally, you're almost as charming. Dogs walk by you wondering what the hell you've rolled in.

Perhaps when war has made you realize the futility of your life and appreciate the greatness of 9./JG 54, I shall ever be tempted to not run when I meet a lower than a rat like stinking creature like you. But I doubt that a festering pool of distended rectum will hold much interest to me even after something as tragic as a full blown conflict.

Or reveal your true indentity; we've seen you before, cowardly masked fool.

Until then.

1000 190A8 KILLS to 9./JG 54 DURING FRAME 10!

Eat yer heart out. PLEASE do. We know you can. Good boy.
