T- shirt Fundraiser for our Warbird.
« on: November 26, 2013, 02:23:33 PM »
Some of you may know and remember that I volunteer and fly with a local aviation museum near Pittsburgh. We acquired a C47, that had served in the ETO from September 44 on until the end of the war, earlier this year and I'm trying to do a little bit more fundraising for her to complete her restoration.

I have done up a t shirt for the restoration of this proud old bird and I'm wondering if anyone here is interested. The order has not been placed yet, but I am already working with a company to have them printed. I'm just trying to figure out how many I should have done up for the first run.

The design is frozen, however there could be very slight changes done to it for printing reasons... But otherwise this is what it will look like.

Here is a higher quality version of what the plane will look like printed on the back.

Price: $13.50 each plus shipping
Sizes: small- XL
Colors: Dark Blue, Dark Green, Medium Grey, Yellow

***Colors are not set completely yet, still waiting to hear back from the company. I'm offering 4 different colors of shirts currently but have not seen samples of the shirts yet, so what is black in the preview, may be a different color on the blue and green

I am also enquiring with the printing company about larger sizes, but my guess is they may be a little extra.

I have not yet looked at shipping prices yet, though I don't expect them to be too much. Either way, before any money changes hands, you will know the exact price. I may also set something up online so they can be paid for with a credit card.***

Here is a thread that you can look through and follow her restoration if you already haven't seen it.

Where are the shirts to be made? Most foreign makers the sizes run small. I need at least an XXL.  :D

    The design is nice.  :aok

Alright Guys, if you could do me a favor. If you are still interested, let me know the size and color you would like. I'm going to be placing the order either tomorrow or Monday, but I will be meeting with the company tomorrow to finalize everything. PLEASE RESPOND TONIGHT TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE COLOR AND SIZE YOU WANT!!!
I will Pm those of you who have said they are interested to finalize each order and to get your information to ship them.

XXL and XXXL sizes are available, however they are an extra $1.50 and $2.00 respectively per shirt. I have not figured out shipping yet, but will do that tomorrow. I'm going to try and target 5$ to ship a single shirt in a bubble envelope, but if its multiple shirts that require a larger box, it will be more.

There are two changes that will be done to the final product.
Change 1) All of the Black lettering on the back of the shirt will be Red on the final shirt due to Black not showing on the dark Green and Blue Shirts. The aircraft outline will be done in white.

Change 2) The Air Heritage logo on the front will be reduced in size and placed over the left Breast.

Payment, I'm still not going to take payment right now, but I will start next week. It will be done through Paypal (Paypal or credit card) or by Check. If you chose the Paypal method, you do not have to have a paypal account, just a credit card. I will give more specific information in the PM I will send to those interested in the shirt.
