He was quite a man. I have yet to meet anyone as honest or anyone possessing more integrity. I struggle every day trying to live up to his standards.
Here is a picture taken about 1951 when he was 31 years old. He had just logged more hours in the B-25 than anyone else in the USAF. He was #1, thus the finger in the air.
I don't know if he still holds that record or not.
