Sigh.....  Comment above.

Latrobe I like trying to land upside down without blowing up... I think being able to do this is a prerequisite to being in the headhunters.

Apparently physics are different in Greece than they are in the rest of the world. All those airshow stunts are an illusion.

The illusions are so expensive at Greek air shows that Greece has to borrow the money to create them off other European countries.

Just for the record, Panos is correct.  The time limit will vary but two minutes is probably the very upper time limit for typical WWII aircraft including the 262.  Whether or not this limit is modeled in the game doesn't really have much, if any, impact on gameplay.

Well Mace, some guys fly at 14k+ and spend a considerable amount of time flying inverted just to spot lower flying planes.

Not sure what your definition of 'considerable' is. I've never seen anyone (before Latrobe's amusing clip)
do more than ten seconds to make such a check. Doesn't take long.  :)

I always thought it was 10 seconds or something for inline piston engined fighters? I think thats to do with the sump or oil pickup? What would stop a 262? same idea but with the fuel pickup? Just curious.

And it isn't a cumulative time.  Applying positive Gs for a short time resets the time upside down allowed.

Merlins could not do 2 minutes, more like 20 seconds.  Not sure about others.

Almost all aircraft and engines provide at least some negative G capabilities but are typically limited by both fuel and oil.  Even gas turbine engines need both although they can run longer without oil than a reciprocating engine.
