I'd like to see them shove a modernized version of the super-charged V6 the 91 TBird Super Coupes had.  I loved my 91 SC and it would flat run but imagine that one in these Plasto cars.

Smaller engine option, even our muscle cars are turning into gas sipping wusses.
I miss commercials that always said the 0 to 60 rating ,now its always mph and no one cares about performance.

still has the 5 liter coyote option...and that engine ain't no wuss.

Reminds me to some late '90s or early 2000s Aston Martin.

that's what i was thinking. then i was on svtpperformance.com, and found a graphic of the suspensions. the front suspension is definitly euro influenced. i went looking a bit farther, and found the ford mondeo in england looks an aaawwwwffffuuuullll lot like the new stang, but with two extra doors. i gotta dig deeper yet.

If they reverted to the 2005 body, which was beefier in my opinion, and then added the lip over the rear quarter panel, that would give it the real retro look they are going for.  This one looks like an acura :(  Oh well, I'll keep mine, not enough there to entice me out of it.

i think they're slowly moving away from retro. even the commercial i saw on svtperformance showed that they're aiming at young drivers now, not us almost old guys.

Think they'll make it so it can go round corners this time?  :bolt:

would you believe me if i told you there's video estimating the gt500 going around the ring faster than the zl1? the thing corners like a slot car now. with irs, it'll corner even better.

Meh, not particularly impressed with the body update. As was already pointed out earlier in the thread, it's increasingly looking like every other car on the market.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Still going with the Camaro when I get enough cash. I've driven both, and the Camaro just feels right in a way the mustang doesn't match.

*edit*

Not the brand new models, obviously  :frown:.

Watch this video, then understand why the Mustang is better.

As far as that new Mustang goes, I like everything EXCEPT the front end.

My god. It sucks.

A lot.

No, More than a lot.

It's just straight up ugly.

I think this counts for more than top-end performance 99.999% of us will never ever use at any point during the life of the car.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

This Mustang owner likes the new look.  They are definitely moving toward a new modern look but still retained classic mustang lines.

Ford has not released official power figures for the GT but have stated there will be an increase.  My guess is close to 450 HP at the crank.

Rumor has it there will not be a supercharged Shelby GT500.  I hope this is untrue. What speculation I have read is they will go with a SVT designed GT350 which will be naturally aspirated.  The car supposedly will be race inspired - read really lightened track car.

I will wait and see.  I am considering selling my 2010 here in Europe hoping to get more money out of the car.  I have had a few serious offers from locals but at the time had no desire to sell the car.  I have too much money in it to sell it in the States.

so for $30k less, you get more hp, back seat, and a ford that'll plant yer eyeballs in the back of yer head, and corner almost as well as a zl1. hhmm....seems like a no brainer to me.  :devil
