I've always wanted to do a map, but the TE is so frustrating to work with...

I put 20 hours of work into one, and then quit.

It occurs to me that this may be partially by design...  I expect that the TE is a natural choke point to prevent HTC from getting bombarded by a couple hundred map makers all demanding that their maps be reviewed and put into the rotation immediately.

I might have kept up on it if it weren't for the maddening length of time required to create the landmasses. And lack of an easy way to view the entire terrain makes placement of islands into rough estimation in the absolute best of cases, and pure guesses in most cases  .

This is the sum of last weeks work, including Sunday when we were snowed in at home. I never thought drawing a simple grid could be such a royal PITA.
