About 25 degrees and sunny here in Central Illinois (The Peoples' Socialist Republic of Illinois) today...  We had a small amount of freezing rain yesterday evening, not enough to disrupt things too much.

The worst of the bad weather missed us to the South by about 30 miles.

Well at least the Hunger games legislation hasnt passed yet. Cold, snow, crap, my kid is up in North Dakota and its brutal up there.

Snow in December. Imagine that.

Cap got lucky. An hour north of him and we only got a few inches.. Jusst enough for me to break out the blower.

I personally like the snow. for it to be winter and just cold grey and ugly. I hate that. If its gonna be cold. I want snow

Well at least the Hunger games legislation hasnt passed yet.

Well, if you listen to the union folks who are getting shafted by the Illinois State Government as it tries to dig its way out of the unfunded pension crater it has created...  Well, they might tell you that the Hunger Games legislation has been passed here.

Ice Storms here in Dallas, roads are still pretty bad, we were without power from Friday morning at 6 AM till Sunday night at 11:15 PM.

Pretty much the same for me about 3 hours drive west of you.  Roads became safe this afternoon.

i gotta say....i'm pissed/dissappointed with todays snow. there wasn't enough to fire up the snow blower. i got home, and the driveway's clear. as are the sidewalks. i REALLY wanted an excuse to fire that blower up.

I finally got mine ready to roll as it got dark Monday night after two years of sitting in the back of the shed. The good news is it fired right up :aok! Then I came home to the same thing, it was pretty much all melted off the driveway and sidewalk. My women had the day off tho. Ya'd think they might have gone out and at least brushed off their cars? Nah! Dad will get it!

Looks like frozen glop on Saturday and just plain cold otherwise. About time winter showed up around here! Been a while!
