Its already legal in New York. Almost nobody takes advantage of it.
In other words, it doesn't matter and acting like it does makes you sound like chicken little.
What Karnak said but I would beg to differ. Been in NY for about 1.5 years now for school right next to White Plains which is about a 30 minute train ride north of the city. Happens quite a bit in the city and unfortunately it isnt always a pleasant thing to see. 80 year old women isnt exactly a great sight to see.
