Any good sound packs?
« on: December 12, 2013, 06:55:50 PM »
Trying to find a new sound pack, the current one I have, the stall horn, makes me want to continuously throw rocks at my monitor.

You know you can go to the "advanced" section and lower the stall warning sound?

I turn the buzzer off.  Ranger, Mitsu et al have sound packs.  I have either Ranger's or Mitsu, can't recollect which.

If anything, they will tell you to mix and match.  I'm too lazy for that though, and stick to the soundpack defaults. :)

Any of the ones stickied in this forum are worth checking out.  I always saying mixing & matching the best from all the packs to fit personal taste is the best way to go.  A lil' time consuming, but worth it.

This, I downloaded all the sound packs and mixed and matched them, most are Twinbooms - some have good plane others don't, some good GV others don't.

Find what you like and go with it :)

I don't suppose there are links to play the various sounds before downloading by chance, are there?

If u have any other flying simulators...that youd think has better sounding engines or what not?...you can actually take that wave file and put into your AH sound file...i did that along time ago when game 1st came out...cause alot of the engines sounded the same...before all the updates and new wave files, but i had a game Total Sim on disc, and some of the aircraft and guns on that game sounded more realistic then Aces High did..at that time.
