The Dallas Cowboys bring me much joy
« on: December 15, 2013, 10:12:12 PM »
These last two weeks the Dallas Cowboys have really helped lift my mood by getting crushed by the Bears and today pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.  Thank you Chicago and Green Bay.

Quote
Ah Tony Romo. Greetings to you, my old friend. Has it really been 12 months already since last you felt my wintery chill?

Well, here we are again. You, with your annual won-loss record that hovers right around .500, and me with my slate of crucial late season games, each fraught with more playoff pressure and high expectations than the last.

We make quite the pair, you and I, do we not?

You have to give Romo credit.  He has found more new ways to get into the Cowboys record books than any other quarterback in Cowboys history.

The NFL East started the season as the joke of the NFL.  It seems it is a well honored tag.  The Cowboys are doing their part, for sure.

About as bad as the NFC North. Seriously Dallas came into town during a bad weekend weather-wise and those sissies were so cold they didnt want to hit anyone.

Then last night, and I watched the entire game, that GD Romo threw it away against arch enemy GB and the Cowboys lousy defense couldnt even stop a no name offense for anything. I suppose it was exciting football but it was also very flawed football. Both teams suck, as the Bears also suck. My God then the Eagles lose to the lowly MN. Vikes this after winning 5 in a row?

Just remember this, Seattle, Carolina, San Fran...1,2,3 the three best defenses in the NFL and one of them will win the SB. The NFL has turned into an offense friendly game but in the end if you bet the better "D" you will win 7 or 8 out of 10 SBs. All three have very Hot "D"s right now.

The worst D in the NFL. Does matter how good the O is if the D can't stop the other team from scoring.

We're luring you all into our trap.

You'll know that things are serious when we lead a dog behind the opposing team's end zone and Vick takes over from Foles.

And quietly, the Seattle Seahawks are making history.  :rock

Russell Wilson,  the QB with the most wins (23) in his first 2 NFL seasons in NFL HISTORY. He also joins Peyton Manning and Dan Marino as the only QB's in history with 50+ TDs in his first two seasons.

Seahawks broke the "14 game season" record set by Vince Lombardi's GB Packers for fewest punt return yards allowed (17) The old record was 22. The record for a 16 game season was set by Atlanta 2008, 49 yards.

Seahawks are my bet for the NFC team to go to the Superbowl, even if I prefer the 49ers.  Seahawks are really good this year.

I might actually start caring about football, then.
