I disagree.
It's a minority of players who switch sides regularly, and a subset of that minority that do so on a weekly basis, let alone a daily one.
Abuses of the sort that happened today make the game a lot less fun. I hope HTC addresses it somehow, either by longer switch times or in some other way.
I don't really understand why the switch times are even categorized as a defense for "spies", because they really aren't.
You can PM anyone on any side and ask them anything. From what they are eating for dinner, where a mission is heading to where that CV is.
Some would think to make it impossible to PM the enemy, however that would make Aces High even smaller of a community. Because now instead of a community of say 1000, it's now split three ways.
I think that switch times should be lowered, and I don't have any intentions of switching sides, but there are those who do. We mainly want this for 3 reasons.
#1 Low peak hours with less than 50 or so on, they should be able to switch every 1-2 hours. Simply so that someone can find a fight - this is my main personal reason for asking for lower side switch times.
#2 You switch during prime time or a more populated time, to find out that the side you just switched to 2 hours ago (10 hours left before you can switch again, as of now), now has the dominant numbers of 20-40+ more than anyone else.
#3 Fun in general. There are some missions on any side that I wouldn't mind taking part in, like Latrobe's FII marker plane adventure with 10+ other guys . Or you see someone online you want to wing up with for a bit, but afterwards want to be able to go back to your original side soon.
I don't see any reason why it couldn't be shortened, I can see that it may be abused. But many things are, and that is a fact. However, to request even longer side-switch times wouldn't benefit anyone. Most in the #2 log off because of those drastic numbers, they don't fly to see green, but to kill red
Probably true now moly, but only because they have left the game already; Bored witless they can't find a fight in the short time they are online.
Back when we had a blue and an orange arena side swappers would switch as soon as they could to be on the side with the lowest numbers as soon as a fight dried up.
Now, it more like; "huh!? no fight... *you must wait 10hours to change sides* ... well hell I'll log off"
Alchemists...
Exactly.
