I do care about my score, my K/D ratio and
how our squad ranks overall.

As far as anything being wrong with the current scoring systym, I don't know cause I don't understand it.

I also care how myself and The 13th Tas as far as how we conduct ourselves online. Just being recognized as one of the better squads means more than any personal score I post in any tour.

As far as flying the P51 exclusively, I enjoy and prefer that to jumping around from ride to ride.

Ice convinced me that the only way to improve was to learn everything there is to know about one plane. That advice is starting to finally pay off.

I,ve seen other pilots such as Zig, Rip, Fscott, Westy, hblair in different planes, and make it look easy. These guys have the talent to take any ride and make it work.

I hope tos some day do the same. At the same time I,ve seen Ice, Yeager, Beemer, Thunder, Midnight, and especially Rwy do some amazing things in the P51. We are not a runstang squad, no matter what anyone thinks. We simply use the 51 for what it is best suited.

Every player and every squad online has a different style, what ever works. If everybody flew the same there would be no surprises and no situation to adapt to on a seconds notice. Boring wouldn't even begin to describe that scenario.

Every player brings something to AH, whether it is good or bad doesn't matter. That it is different is what makes this community the best.

SALUTE TO ALL

Then you should be very happy with where your squad is ranked.  5th over all last tour.

I got news for you Sox.. everybody knows the 13 TAS is the premier P-51 squad.  Nobody needs the rankings to tell them that.  Just look at the top 10 P-51 pilots list posted in the main forum... and know that nobody was suprised when they saw it.

And, I really don't know many people that think its stupid to fly a certain aircraft exclusively.  People usually just don't have the attention span required to do it    There is certainly a higher respect for those that fly a plane through thick and thin.  Of course, that doesn't mean you aren't a squad full of runstang dweebs

Most people that get frustrated with the way the TAS flies do so as a result of refusing to accept teamwork or apply common sense.  The 13th does both quite well.  Most comments you hear slamming your squad will be as a result of jealosy more than anything else.. you gang banging alt monkey runstang dweebs    Fly the way you want, its really nobody else's buisness.

I have no beef with you or the way you have flown when we have met online sax.   I really don't care who is the best P51 squad tho.

I'm proud of all the 13th TAS members...they are my friends and I respect each and every one of them.

Voss was offline for a bit and asked me to work the squad up and CO until he returned. What I have asked of each of them is not easy...all of our squad has worked hard to improve a few specific skill sets. So far so good

Regarding the scoring system, as a squad, we pay no attention to it regarding rank...I imposed a standard for the squad to work towards...4.0 K/D and a 2.0 K/S....not for the purpose of drawing attention to us, but rather to achieve a specific level of proficiency. We try to stay focused on the skills necessary to succeed...SA...E Management and most importantly, PATIENCE
After 10 years of flying these sims, I still cannot consistently walk the walk.

Voss's post regarding the scoring system was born only out of the fact that to him, this sim is new again due to his absence...he is and always has been passionate about simming...I respect that.

I'm just glad to have a sim to fly that I enjoy, and the people to fly with that make it a fine thing.

Cyas Up!

The TAS is definately no runstang group.

Runstang: When a P51 overwhelmed by just one enemy, hits the deck and runs for base, not once attempting to turn the balance of the fight, rather only intending to seek the protection of his base AA or other friendlies.
