Simple Dot Gunsight
« on: December 22, 2013, 01:23:04 AM »
Anybody got one?

Years gone by Rude and I just used a simple small dot for the gunsight. That BMP is long since gone, lost on some dead hard drive.

We're both wanting one again. Anyone have one they would share? Or do we have to make one again? Kinda surprised there's not a gunsight vault in amongst all the skins you can download.

Thanks!

As I think about it, we had a DeathDot gun site with a, smaller lower dot for bombs and rockets.

Anybody still using that one? Anyone have a copy/link to such a sight?

NM...I remembered how to make one. Added a rocket/bomb line to the Muskie death dot. Seems to be pretty close.

Center Dots are 6Mil large dot from late war AAF reticles. The jabo dots are from the AAF rocket\bomb aid made standard with the 5inch HVAR. The "Blue Thingy" ring and rocket aid illustrated is to show the reference for the 3 dots below center on the DotJabo gunsight since you asked for a jabo dot. I didn't include it in the download.

DotJabo - first dot down is the center point between the 400 and 800 yard rocket launch point. The two lower dots are bomb aids for different bombing angles.

Copy both the bmp and mil files to your sights directory.

The first step.

Fly naked. . .no matter the conditions.

Let me know when this step is mastered.  :old:

I've always prefered just a dot as well on the gunsight. Mind you, I genuinely suck, so maybe just ignore that...

As a footnote though, if you ever need to make your own you can just open up any of the gunsights in Paint, then just "erase" everything but the center dot. Presto chango.
