I wont trust in Kelvin until absolute 0 is proven, as far as I know it is yet to be reached. Therefore inaccurate.

Please add Celsius to your temperatures  :old:

-5 F is -20.555 C so -21 if rounded up (or down if that is more accurate)

Which is exactly why it's a theory.

Just because it hasn't been proven doesn't mean its inaccurate.

Following your statement I have a theory; You are a little chap 4foot2, with a face like an ogre, a limp, a club foot and a hairy back.
Accurate until proven otherwise.

It's already been proven otherwise, just dig around in the "Pictures of players" thread somewhere in the O'Club.

Maybe if you weren't such a dick while trying to act cool people wouldn't think you're a raging idiot at times.

Either way I doubt you can be bothered to be a decent human being anyways.

yeah Bailey been busy here to with freezups, I had 3 on saturday and 1 on sunday.  Do you have wells or city water?  all of the freeze ups I went to the pipe from well to pressure tank was frozen about 10 feet before the tank.  We  made a steamer for that, which is a steel gas can with a piece of pipe 4 inch pipe welded to the bottom of it and a hole for a torch cut into it.  a long 3/8 plastic hose is connected at the cap which we run into the frozen pipe.  the water boils creates steam and forces it out the plastic hose.  works amazing  :rock :aok

I was just highlighting the flaw in your statement. Ergo proving it was filled with raging idiocy.

Was -47°F in Fairbanks a just about a week ago, today it warmed up to t-shirt weather (a balmy 20°F)  and I'm hearing about how everyone down south is gonna freeze to death.

Don't worry, you'll all survive (hopefully) and that cold will come back here where it belongs soon enough.

The Polar Vortex Effect... For our Centigrade users.

Friday, it was -13C here at at 6AM, with 1 foot of snow on the ground and more falling. Wind speeds of 40 mph making the windchill -26C. Spent several hours with my Poulon Pro (Husqvarna) snow thrower clearing our driveway and that of a neighbor. Temp peaked at -9C.

Saturday: -12C overnight, it warmed up to balmy -4C.

Sunday: The fast tracking storm draws up warm moist air from the south. Temperature was 2C at 6 PM, and rose overnight along with the onset of heavy rain.

Monday: Woke up to a downpour and the temperature was up to 14C at 7 AM. Rained hard much of day, adding just over 1 inch of rain to the 1+ foot of snow. Almost all traces of snow gone by noon. Temperature is on the way down. 7C by 1 PM, 1C by 6 PM, and -2C now. Going down to -12C tonight with winds expected to increase to 45 mph by dawn. That will make a windchill of -27C when I leave for work tomorrow. All of the melted snow and recent rain will rapidly freeze, making for very icy roads and sidewalks. The high temp for tomorrow is expected to be -9C with a windchill of -20C.

I live on eastern end of Long Island...

We're preparing for a winter chill here on the west coast.  TV reports the temps might drop tomorrow, from 68 degrees to 67 degrees on the coast.  Might have to break out the winter gear and put on some shorts, ditch work and hit the beach tomorrow.

ack-ack

:rock Glad to be a west coaster.
