They said it was a lady that dropped it off. Her husband or dad prolly brought it back from the war....She probably had no idea what it was....Probably not an idiot.....more than likely just someone that didnt know its importance

Good news is they are going to sell it....im sure it will wind up in the hands of a collector or museum that will cherish it.....so in a nutshell.....She saved a piece of history

agreed, as per the thread about the AK and the SG.

the woman prolly thot it was an ak..certainly looks like an AK.

also, if the LAPD plans to sell it, it can only be to a class III dealer within CA, or to an individual
in a state that allows auto ownership..KY comes to mind
