« on: January 07, 2014, 10:51:33 PM »
I found a facebook page but his website seems to be for sale. Anyone know if he's still operating?

I have his phone number...or at least a number that he has answered in the past. I will give him a ring tomorrow and see if he is still around and if so then I can PM it over your way.

Try Cyberpower.com had my machine for 2 years and I would buy from the again! Service is good,   go with a modular power supply would be my only advice when dealing with a new PC.

I think I'll have to build it myself again. Cyberpower looks good but I want to use a few things from my current rig to maximize my $$$.

R.I.P. TilDeath, thank you for your help in the past.

I did some online research. It appears Rich has fallen on hard times. He had to undergo a liver transplant in August 2013. There is a post in the world of tanks forum.

Here is what I found.

So what does relic do when a member is down? we band together and help him.

Richard "TD" Hoberman Has had to endure a liver transplant, and all of the medical costs, without insurance. I know we ask a lot out of you guys, but this time were going to ask for a donation that will go to Richard. We have over 1500 registered members, and I know we can all afford a little something. As your community leader, I'm asking you to step up for a man who has stepped up with quick tech support for all of us. His bills are so bad that his paypal has been frozen, his bank account is closed, and he is on someone elses couch.

Step up and help a fellow gamer out in his darkest hour.

This is my paypal and I am managing his donations due to his circumstance.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart:

Mike-"Had a bad health situation myself and know from personal experience that dealing with this kind of stuff (financial, insurance, etc.) is the last thing you want to do. I really hope everything works out good for TD!!!"

you just hit a new low ripley.

td gave a lot back to the community.  I only bought and a ps and a case from him.  he perhaps made 10 bucks on both.  and yet he took a couple of hours out of his time to help me mode my case.  a lot of what I know about oc computer is from him.  when I had questions about my system, I would get pm's from him encouraging me to call him.

and I know English is not your first language as you so many times have failed to understand so many things.  he isnt asking for money.  and the it clearly says at the bottom that donation will be accepted until the end of august.

In addition I think the mugshot is several years old and I do not know the circumstances. I know he built two of the finest computers I have ever owned for a great price and his business dealings with me were top notch. The only reason I was trying to contact him was to add some wifi capability to the systems. I don't know what his current status is but I know a lots of AH players also play world of tanks. Perhaps someone may be able to find out more info.
