Long time ago I remember when xFax bailed on a bish field, somehow he landed on top of a hanger in a perfect spot ack didn't kill him, I was bish for an hour and just loved the banter of how someone was A) cheating B) NOE C) hacking D) plenty more whines.
I sat in the tower just listening for a good 1 hour of the bish arm chair generals trying to figure out what was going on, the hacking part just cracked me up.

Turns out he was some new player who bailed over a field because he had to run to the store to get some medicine for his kid, he was gone a good few hours but stayed logged in.

I really should send thank you cards to Dallas and the NOE brigade who were so paranoid they kept upping La7's every few minutes looking for that "magical NOE". forget who was in ghi's squad that kept calling it a "hack/cheat" because the base flashed and nothing was around it, LMAO

all because someone bailed LOL good times

If so, how about using .45 to shoot pilots in aircraft as they spawn out for takeoff! Can you kill a pilot sitting in his aircraft sitting on the ground?

The answer is yes.  I've done it.  I once got six kills in a chute in one mission.

You can also kill ack with the .45.

I've also stood in the maproom and had just enough bullets to thwart two troop drops.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Ive sat at the end of a runway as a bailed pilot plinking at the pilots head soon as they spawn in. It was fun

Hmm....  :headscratch:

Germany did have spotters who basically did sit on top of mountains, and when they saw the bombers roll past they would radio it to airfields, so they could up aircraft to shoot down the buffs....

I have always wondered about this in my head, if this would ever become a thing. It's similar to spies... but no real problem with it I suppose. I hate having fighters meet me at my target. This would drive buff pilots away from flying bombers. But this has just the same impact on fighter pilots as well.

I can guarantee nobody would be very happy with this new idea.

"SPIESSSS!!!!" Is enough for me.

On the other hand this could add a whole other portion to the game, chute warfare!

So I land my plane, and instead of exiting, I roll to the rearm pad.  Just after I said, "Fill 'er up", I got shot by a pilot who had bailed.  The field had been de-acked, and he took good advantage of it.  I went out in a jeep looking for the dirty sneak, but he was gone by that time.  I had to admit, it was pretty clever, and kind of funny.

:airplane: We were running some missions in the MLW arena, when a situation came up, which caused me to start thinking about something. What happened was this: A knight, his name is of no matter, was hanging in a parachute, just off one of our bases, he saw 2 goons taking off with troops for a base capture and immediately started notifying his country mates, he just happened to do it on chann 200 instead of his country channel. Well, I would have done the same thing, so I don't have a problem with him doing that, but I would have been more careful about which radio channel to put it on.
Now here is the new problem that we are going to have to watch for: A Bish or Knit parachutes to a key forward base, on a mountain top or just close by the airfield and keeps his country advised on what is lifting and what direction are they headed. OK, nothing wrong with that, but, are we now going to have to parachute 2 or 3 guys and hunt this guy down on the ground and kill him with our .45's? Interesting question!
Does this man on ground show ICON? If so, can he be killed with aircraft bullets or cannon or bombs?
This makes me think of several new situations which attackers can use someone like this to see what is going on at target base.
I don't see anything wrong with this, just gives us a new element to the game if used correctly!
Maybe Hi Tech can give us some hand grenades including our .45's, the we could insert 4 "seals" just off a base, use grenades to kill flak in town and guard map room until capture.
What do you guys think?
Most fun way to clear a map room is with a 45, but most people just strafe it. Did you know when dismounted you can walk up to the top of a fighter hangar?

unfortunately you cant they disabled it while ago , now you don't flash a base if your in a chute... (pretty good for sneaking in troops with C47 tho.)
