I was quite the opposite (as most of us were). Did the whole thing bomb and tank thing for a couple years along with trying to capture bases and such. Many of us have played for over 6-7 years so air combat is the only joy for most of us. I like to jabo (attack) once in a while too
Not really. My first five years were spent capturing bases, etc as well. Only difference is I did not do tanks....and still haven't for some reason.
I still enjoy air combat...but the endless up / fight / land or reup, down low furballing is boring to me regardless of if I win or lose. I like to branch out and try new stuff as well as revisit stuff I haven't done in a while. This month I've spent time lone wolf bomber hunting in a plane I'd never flown before (110G2) and have participated in some base takes. Still have plenty of 1-v-1s (running into the lone wolf fighter flying at 15K between bases...some will actually fight and not dive away running!), but almost no furballs for me because I'm just bored with it.
Who knows...next month I might finally get in a tank! If I do it will be a sign of the End Times, so you might want to get that Doomsday bunker ready.
