After a while you will land with your brain on autopilot. Only landing on a turning cv will be a relative challenge

Sometimes I just think of something else while rtbing and come back to my senses when the wheels touch the ground.

I want the OPTION of AUTO AIM sometimes it becomes a real burden to play the game and people on ch200 say I suck at aiming so I want to kill them to make the game fair. Also I want infinite ammo as a OPTION too.
Also lets have the OPTION of no drag because drag really drags you down man.

Remember if you don't like them you can just disable them for you and let the others have them.
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

How about...

We implement this auto landing thing, but when you do it it has a 99% chance of making you bail out  :t

Geez, give the poor guy a break, he only had a suggestion.  Probably everyone would be fine with his concept so long as you were penalized somehow - as Karnak pointed out - for autolanding.  Might be that people who aren't interested in scores or perk points or honing their plane-handling skills would be fine with that.

When people become too lazy to land their plane, this game (and the human race) is in trouble. :old:

....well....I believe that over the years I've found a number of vets who use auto-takeoff.

I have been playing this game about 3 years now... landing at the beginning was a challenge and i have land planes in every possible situation that can come up in this game...
including gliding couple sectors and than landing, landing b29s with out elevators, or landing on a carrier, landing into hanger to avoid vulch ...  etc etc....  once i even made successful landing on a skinning  carrier (actually carrier start to skin right after i land and i happen to hit end sortie couple millisecond. before it sunk).

SO the point is , after flying a long sortie If i believe that the situation around the airfield that I am going to land is safe for auto landing, I should have the option to do so....

And cant see why you guys still can not grasp the such basic thing A OPTION means you have an option to not to use it if you don't want....

If we follow the reasons you guys bring up  we should remove , auto take off, auto trim , auto trim modes (or more commonly know as auto climb and auto angle in the game) and auto pilot from the game as well.... auto landing is not different any of those.

But never the less , here a idea slightly different idea;
`Make a achievement , some think like after 1000 successful landings your are entitled to use Auto landing mode if you want` and after 1000 landing , auto landing either appears under `Flight` or a dot. command is becomes available to use.

Provided that autolanding does not work with damage or pilot wound, activates below some certain speed and uses correct landing pattern and approach speeds, I see nothing wrong with this wish. Many players would probably land manually, because it would be a lot faster way to get down. Autolanding would be similar to auto takeoff that I use 99,9% of the time. I don`t really care how someone lands their plane, although seeing a wingless fuselage tumble down the runway is a funny sight. It also cracks me up when someone makes a mistake on landing and explodes, not so rare sight when manning those cv guns.  :lol

Except for the fact (that you've apparently gone to a great deal of work overlooking since it's been mentioned more than once) that there are no point modifiers for taking off, trimming and afk mode.

Now someone gave you an option to augering (use that auto-pilot feature once you get lined up and you fiddled you rate of decent) then kick back, shake off the shakes and light up.

Or .... just auger.

P.S. Nobody here thinks you don't deserve some sort of recognition for all those landings you made.

I work from home and fly a lot of the time some days.  If I get a client call or system issue would be nice just to invoke the option of auto-land.  Like the gentlemn said, it is an option request.  You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Also. wife ACK can take you unexpectedly away for the heat of battle.  The more you think about it the more reasons this option would be nice (deliveries, pet events, child events ...).

as long as you don't get the 1.25x perk bonus or the death multiplier (for scoring purposes)  for landing successfully.

Part of the mission profile is landing.... on the runway. To get the max points/perks this is what you have to do. If you land off the runway you lose points perks, if you bail you lose points perks. So if you DON'T finish the mission profile by "autolanding" you should lose points/perks.

Since this being a game i am pretty sure those rules can be bended a lil to provide a lil more confort to gamers...

And thats the point, where to draw the line of "bending the rules".

In the case of landing OFF the runway, HTC has said that inch off is too much and so you get a ditch, no matter how many "newbs" skid off the runway with a poor landing. It is part of the skill NEEDED to complete the mission. Autoland would negate that part of the mission.
