Free to play

How about a model that is ftp but with a system that has if you want the later planes or weapons then you have to subscribe or buy in a one off?

Would keep more old time players like myself coming back without having the need to keep paying for something that i like but cannot justify on a monthly subscription basis.

Always thought there should be a ftp entry point. But nothing that could really replace game play.........

E.g. Access jeeps only with no load out option just one jeep and one 50 cal.

AH just doesn't lend itself to a F2P business model and the cost to transition to a F2P game may just not be worth it as a F2P game is no guarantee of it increasing the player base.

I was just thinking about that.  I could go for a ftp WWI and/or Early War arena.  A ftp EW arena might be something new people could play for a while to get the hang of things at a slower pace.  Unless you're a WWII aviation fan and have some knowledge coming in, two weeks isn't enough to hook some people.

I can't agree with the OP, but a server with several F2P H2H style WWI custom arenas might be good for the game.

I recognize that they would also need to limit the length of free play time, so perhaps 3 months might be in order.

Make it free to play but the only aircraft they can fly in the P40E

thats like what world of tanks and those guys do, thats what sets this game apart you pay for it but everything is included

I think that a free 2 month coupon or something like that would be a lot better than offering any type of "free" arenas...that being said...all it took was 2 weeks for me and here I am 9 years later still wanting to play this game any chance I get

I'd proposed this in the past:

Training Arenas, Dueling Arena, Early War, WWI: No subscription needed, free to access
Mid War: Access can be bought by spending perks earned in EW

Monthly subscription gives access to all arenas.

Why make aces high free to play when all the market and players are going to games like war thunder and such.



Waste of time and effort, aces high will have to find a new way to bring back its players numbers some other way, if possible.
