Let's market!

I started up a Twitter account to try to do this too. 
I haven't reached many..lol...but I have had one person ask me about the game and how to get started...that is better than none.   
I have tweeted some AH vids I thought were good.  If anybody doesn't mind me tweeting theirs, please let me know and I will.

The point of this thread is for folks who care about sharing their game experience to coordinate and try to pass on info about the Game via word-of-mouth, basically.  There is no reason to be an ultra melon in this thread.  If you don't feel like messing around with Social Media, then you don't have to.  It's just an open idea...

Also, HTC has done commercials before. I saw one, and that's why I signed up in the first place.  There's no reason to think they won't advertise on TV again in the future.

I believe the subject is "Let's market!", not "Let's use Social Media to market this game".  The game has been around for over a decade and is in the state it's in because of the poor job of marketing. Word of mouth doesn't work.  It's not the responsibility of the player community to market this product.  It's AH's and from my seat, they have done a piss poor job of mass marketing this product.   But marketing cost money and I can understand  I've never seen an AH commercial on a prime time show on a prime time network.

Social networking wasn't even around when Fugi and I started playing.  Traditional marketing and advertising are a rut.  Don't get stuck in a rut.  It's also free.   Free is good. 

Marketing is a package that now includes social networking.   As much as 1999 was a great year for you, move on.

That's no reason not to give some help that doesn't cost you anything. Unless you object to the lack of marketing by the company so much that out of spite you want your beloved game to go out of business???

I signed up in late 02 after watching a tv commercial for AH.
Not sure why they no longer do that. I see WT ads all over the place. particularly on the
interwebs on various BBS's that I inhabit. Most are not even remotely connected to flight sims.
ifish.net, a northwest salmon fishing forum even has WT ads on it.

I'm pimping the game to everyone I know who might be interested. Y'all should be doing the same! More subs, good thing for everyone. 

Changing the 12 hour rule to 1 hour, would do the most advertisement for older peeps in semi AH retirement.
