Credit for kills in manned guns.
« on: January 20, 2014, 12:27:19 PM »
If you are flying an airplane or driving a tank and your plane or vehicle is destroyed, you do not get credit (on the text buffer) for the kills you had prior to you being shot down.

But if you are in a manned gun, and the position you are in is destroyed… You are given credit for all of the kills you had.

I think you should only receive credit for the kills if you towered out of the manned gun before that position was destroyed, or the ship that your gun was on is sunk.
My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters… I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

You only get the soandso killed x in a manned gun reward.  Your score does not improve, nor do you get perk points for units you killed.

It is really cosmetic.

If there is intent on manned guns affecting score/deaths/perks...

A waste of time.  You could have a manned gun death count as a billion deaths and put your score in such a bad shape that it would take a full year of playing 12hrs a day or account deletion to fix, won't keep me from using them.  I don't care about score, nor am I going to start.

The only thing you are doing with a wish like that is wasting Dev time for nothing.

As for the OP, if I am reading it correctly, wouldn't bother me either way.  Does make sense, truth be told.  Though, if your ship is sunk, but your gun wasn't destroyed, then your names in lights.  Think of it as abandoning ship.  If your gun is destroyed when the ship is sunk, then you don't get name in light.
