Update the 110 now?

  The stuka has 37 mm guns,it's not perked!  The Il2 has 37mm guns,it's not perked!  I dont see how adding the 37mm to the 110G would require a perk,the added weight and drag would greatly effect it's handling.

  The only thing I see as a possible issue is if HTC gives us a choice in ammo,he or ap because if we got ap rounds that would make the 110 the best can opener in the game!


   

I was more poking fun at the 110's comically low ENY. The plane is just not good enough for ENY 15. 20, maybe, 25 would be more accurate for its capabilities.

I guess you haven't gone buff hunting in one then.   I've not figured out what my K/D is vs bombers for this month but offhand I can say its pretty huge and I don't think that's a unique experience.

Don't get me wrong...in general I agree it should probably be around 20.  But 1 v 1 vs. other fighters it can still be deadly.  I find many discount it's abilities in fighter to fighter combat and then are surprised to get there  .

I suppose that's a matter of perspective and opinion.  If someone wants to make a case for me to earn more for my kills who am I to argue?

That would remove the diversity encouraging factor of ENY and introduce a hornets nest of contention regarding proper evaluation and weighting of the various performance aspects.  Popularity reflects the actual usefulness of the unit in the game rather than a single person's opinion of where its performance should be ranked.

I sure kill a lot of single engine fighters with it as well as run down b29s.

When I see a strat raid comprised of b17s and escorts, I go after the escorts rather than face the b17 guns.

Of course, the escorts then snuggle up to the bombers they were supposed to protect and bask in the warmth of the B17 defensive armament.

Above 28,000ft it is not possible to run down the B-29 in the Bf110.  With smart flying you may set yourself up for an intercept, but you need to make it count as the bombs will outrun you and you don't want to be parked on the six of a B-29 formation, though given your firepower you'd likely take one or more of them with you.

I do it a few times every tour.

There are a few things you can do to ensure success.

1.   Altitude...........Altitude will allow you to catch most any plane in the game with most any plane in the game if the advantage is enough.

2.  Using the winds aloft directions to your advantage can put up to 60mph advantage in your favor if the buffs you are chasing are heading into a 30mph headwind while you have a 30mph tailwind.

3.   Carrying enough fuel to cause the buffs to panic and descend or enough fuel to run them out of fuel.

3 B29s in 4 seconds over 28k chasing down with 60mph speed advantage mentioned above.
