Sound not working in Filmviewer

It was working fine, now when I view films no sound…game sounds or VOX.

Headset is working in game…..

Any ideas?

My guess it has something to do with the sound mapping in the game, did you recently change anything?

Nothing I can think of has been changed…but that would be the logical thing to look for.  In game sounds work, switch to film viewer and no sounds with no changes between apps.

Is it possible something in the film viewer is corrupted?  Is it possible to reinstall just that app?  I don't know if I'm not hearing sounds when viewing or if sounds are not being recorded when making them.

System info:

iMac  3.5Ghz Intel iCore 7, 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX 780M, Windows 8

The only other thing I can think of is that you have changed your default sound device in the windows setup.
To do a simple test rename the file sndgrp.cfg in your Aces High/settings folder.


The film view uses the exact same setup as the game does.

I have the same type of issue, if I watch the film and use the f3, f4 or f5 view and change POV to another aircraft and switch back to my aircraft, I noticed that the eng sound of my aircraft is no longer there.

I hate computers!! 

In Windows I deselected then reselected output and input for sound.

Then did the same thing in AH.

Now the sound works when viewing films.

Don't know why, don't care…I can hear again.
