totally baffled

I have been trying to play aces high or war thunder. The game will play approximately 30 seconds, and then it boots me out and my wireless connection goes dead. I have to keep going and have to reset the wireless adapter, my laptop even though it's incredibly slow keeps a great connection for hours with either game. I am desperate for an answer and it must be a wireless connection. I did use an old internal Wi-Fi adapter card for my HP computer, and installed it in the new one. Is it possible that the older network card can't handle a 64-bit computer? I talked to Roy about it, he seemed to think it was the wireless router, when got a new router put it up, same thing no different. I tried moving the computer in where I can hardwire it directly to the board and it works great, but I don't want a 25 foot cord running my through my house

Sounds to me like a firewall issue or a router porting issue.

Some intrusion detection systems get triggered by constant packet flow of online games. Might be your AV software.

It is not necessarily the router.  I said it could be a compatibility problem between the adapter and the router.  Not all wireless devices are friendly to each other.

As an example, I had to update my WiFi access point firmware in order for it to work with an Apple iPad.

Yes.the ping shows an intermittent packet loss until it totally starts losing them completely. the game runs about 10 seconds b4 that dreaded message shows up "host connection lost..."
 "borrowed" a netgear router from Target, no change, returned router. bought a new network adapter cause my old one was 7+ yrs old. still no change. But last night I did play for about an hour??? today it was belly up again.STILL totally baffled, at this point im ready to completely erase EVERYTHING and re install op sys and drivers.

Thanks for your notes Roy, I did get a new network adapter card, played last night for a couple hours, got up today and same ol issue showed up. Im very confused...and going through AH withdrawal symptoms.....The laptop stills plays however @ about 11fps. (worse than not playin at all.)

Are you using some AV security suite in your desktop computer? If it has an intrusion detection system it may get triggered by the game packets and shut off your connection.

Also I have had a zyxel router that would just jam up from game data. You could make the router reset just by trying to ping some wan location. When you changed the wireless router, which brand/model did you change it to?

There's little chance I can be of help, but I am curious about the symptoms.  Are you saying your WiFi card looses connection solely because of running graphics games?  Does web surfing or YouTube video watching cause the WiFi card to loose connection also?  Do you confirm this loss via the WiFi card app (i.e. the little antenna icon in your Taskbar)?

Also, the DXdiag report lists two graphics "cards": the AMD CPU processor contains a Radeon GPU and you also have a separate Nvidia GT430 graphics card.  Is the AMD internal GPU properly configured in the BIOS (i.e. to allow use of the Nvidia GT430 card without conflict)?  Or is that automatic these days?

It's a long shot but I once had my two LAN ports bound together.  Every time I dropped bombs from a bomber in game I was disco'd.  Once I unbound them and deactivated one everything was good.

Yeah honestly it sounds like some kind of porting issue, or has been mentioned, some type of virus software/conflicting program.

Im no router expert but I kept having problems with BF4, real lousy packet loss, and I bought that PSConfig program for it. They had a BF4 port profile for it already and ever since i changed my router settings my packet loss got much better and the game stopped rubber banding and stuttering/shutting down connection.

Is this happening during regular surfing? If it is then its your provider. And who is that BTW?
