HQ down at log in request
« on: January 28, 2014, 02:42:28 PM »
Logged in today to find we had no darbars anywhere.  IMO, that would not be a good thing for a new player unfamiliar with the game.  Please make a text pop-up that appears automatically if the HQ is down when you log in.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WARNING:

Your country's HQ is currently destroyed, resulting loss of radar.
Neither enemy, nor friendly planes will display on the map.
The HQ remains down for 45 minutes*.
The down time can be reduced by bringing field supplies to repair the HQ.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* No idea how long it is actually down for.

Not a bad idea, Snuggie.

If done, please add a checkbox to disable it as well.

Would also like an indicator in the corner of your screen where the vox names are put, to have "mission posted" put up there when somebody posts a mission on your side.

Make it on by default for the benefit of the newbies, but allow to disable such messages for the rest of us.

I like the premise, but was thinking something along the lines of a huge X on the map or some other visual inop display.

How about in the extra space on the clipboard a bir ol Red "RADAR DOWN"  maybe even putting the current strat downtimes as well.  By having it stuck right in a players face it would go a long way towards understanding strat system.

That sounds great as long as it won't block any bases of terrain features on the map.
