It happened to everybody, everywhere. It was an established medical procedure in those days. Remember Old man Kennedy? The father of JFK? The Mob guy? He had his own daughter lobotomized cause she was mentally unstable.

Now they treat the same symptoms chemically. I guess you could call it a chemical lobotomy to attempt to erase the memories, flashbacks and voices from (pick a wars description):  shell shock, combat fatigue, thousand mile stare or PTSD.  The malady has stuck with all the wars, only the medical handling of it has changed.

I agree....just want to say you don't need to see "war" to have PTSD.... :salute

Theres a little bit of difference between regulating your serotonin levels with meds and cutting chunks of your brain out.
