Question- Destroyable Terrain
« on: February 09, 2014, 12:06:46 PM »
Just out of curiosity, if there was a way to code perhaps %50 of the hedgerows, trees, and maybe even some dirt mounds (all with different hardness settings) and being "destroyable", with say a down time limit of 30 mins (yeah, I know trees and hedgerows dont grow that fast but hey dead pilots dont re-up), just how much of a strain would that be on computer systems?

I think this would be nice and it would certainly change the ground game as we know it.

Last time it was brought up, Hitech commented it would cause the terrain files to grow to the order of a gigabyte, so it is pretty unlikely to happen.
