Not sure why it still has the tube extension on the upper, where the collapsible stock typically would be.

there's only so many ways you can make a gun.  if it wasnt for the law, somebody would have made it anyway, and somebody would have bought it,   just for the novelty.

while some laws are really stupid, there's always gonna be somebody that gotta have this or that gun just for the sake of owning it.

Im one of those  :D   I collect high end rifles and i own quite a few just for the sake of owning them.....love the history behind them, and to me they are a piece of art first and a firearm second.

I don't suppose it would do any good to point out that a semi-automatic AR-15 is not an assault rifle...

when are you gonna learn that zach is just trolling.  he has posted before about how unfair it is that he cant have any guns where he lives, blah, blah, blah.

most of his posts are just geared towards getting people banned for a few days.  this one is not really any different.

No. 'Cause those of us who know it dont need reminding and those who think it is read it in the news papers so obviously they must be.

Ah, thanks.  I've field stripped and cleaned an AR before, but didn't realize there were integral parts of the mechanism within the stock itself.  Learn something new everyday.  Definitely has a weird look to it, but if I lived in NY, I'd buy one.  Wonder if they sell conversion kits yet, in case someone wants to "legalize" their AR for NY?

How'd you clean the buffer and buffer spring?

It's called a buffer tube and it's why you see them on AR Pistols. The Bolt Carrier Group needs to go somewhere when the gun cycles.
