Be safe down there for all those affected but for people who never drive in it, it can be a scary feeling and wrecks are going to happen sad to say.   where i live the road crews have it down pat as to keeping our roads snow and ice free most of the time, been driving professionaly for 33 years so for me its no biggie i just keep an eye out for problem areas while driving and other drivers which seem to be a majority  of the troubles.

Stupid lake effect snow here!  Atleast the lake is finally froze over, some good came from all that cold!

I'm right at the edge of the snowbelt here, could be worse though,I could still be up on Georgian Bay! My sister told me they had to clear the roofs off up there the snow was over 3 feet on the roofs, not good!

And I always thought they got more than their share in the Ottawa area!

morf, all that hot air rising in Toronto (not just from politicians) sucks in the air from the lakes.

There are snow banks and the snow removal budget is going over the top but the thaw got rid of a lot of the surface snow.

And I thought you meant all that snow going up in smoke because of the Mayor's habit! :devil
