The 2 previews and the 15 minute super trailer look fantastic.  I've read that instead of episode 9 being the penultimate hour as in the previous 3 seasons, the action will reach crescendo in the first few episodes, and continue on until the final one.  This I hope is the case, as it sometimes gets a little draggy, and from the 2nd half of A Storm of Swords, they have a ton of fantastic material to work with.  The Oberyn Martell storyline will be the talk of the town in a couple of months.

I blew off Game of Thrones as another foo-foo dress up party
loosely based England medieval fiction when I first heard of it.. -yawn-

Grand daughter got the first series on DVD for Christmas..
.. said it was a good story, I should watch it.
So I did, figuring I'd check out the first episode to see if it was worth my time.

Man.

So now I have read all the books that are out,
watched the first 3 series ..
...and signed up for HBO, sitting on my hands waiting for it to begin.

I am so sucked in..
..every episode has me a bit stunned at the end,
contemplating just how brutal, epic, good and bad
..just plain 'wow' about sums them up.

What an awesome story told very well both in the books and on the screen.
Everything else on TV and most movies just pale in comparison.
It really brings home what a series can and should do ..tell the epic stories.

I love the fact that author Martin said another Stark dies every time he is asked when the next book comes out.

I love that major characters are not invulnerable .. 'Winter *is* coming!'
..the bad guys are *very* bad and some 'good' guys pop up in the most unexpected places.

Now I have to contend with everything else looking like crap .. LOL.
