Disco's/lockup's
« on: February 22, 2014, 12:07:21 AM »

I lost 40% of my strike package to freeze ups directly over target...as well as some of my fighters...

Anyone else?

Toward V85 on our first enemy contact it got kinda warpy for a lot of us, probably at about T+45ish, not sure if we lost any to disco's however.

I think there is something wrong with the terrain itself.  I noticed stutters when looking in certain directions, and experienced off-line game crashes when flying around V109/V53 area.  The film viewer will also stutter with this terrain while panning the view if I use the high resolution settings.  I suspect in my case it is a video memory problem.  Is the terrain using really big terrain textures, like 1024 or bigger instead of the usual 512?

Nobody in AoM said anything about stutters, fwiw.

We had one that had a CTD about 5 mins after roll. Other then that several (including myself) had a warp around the T+45 mark.. only lasted 2-3 seconds and that was it.

Our 1 disco occurred during JG 11's attack. But I personally noticed no lag or interruptions.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I noticed a short stutter for a couple of seconds when we first ran into the 38's SE of 16. Smoothed out afterwards though.

Around T +45 I noticed my squaddies warping and checked Net Status, had 3 huge spikes within about 3-4 seconds then right back to normal flat line. Outside of that  single instance all was good.
