Being able to land at HQ and strats in a GV

this is something that I just had tried to do but got a ditch since the HQ and strats are part of the country it should be a safe place to land and not have to drive to the nearest field

I just tried this in the midwar. I ran an M18 to the HQ and parked right next to the big fortress building. I ended the sortie and it landed me successfully. So I wonder if this is a latewar issue only.

I think its because its not an airfield/vbase, regardless of the concrete it will be a ditch.

It's not the correct type of "concrete". Until recently, we still could safely land place at the HQ because it had the 'right' kind of concrete, but not since the buildings there had been redesigned.

For GV it's now like any other non-concrete spot on the map, it will only be a ditch if some enemy if you are in friently territory (meaning closest baseis friendly) and an enemy is still in range. And just like any other place on the map, you can land a GV safely if no enemy is around at all.

Yep.....I successfully landed in the rook city after shooting it up with a ltv because no enemy were around.

With no enemy within 6k you can land any gv safely on grass or anything else, so gv's don't really apply unless you test it with a bad guy around. But I also agree we should be able to land aircraft at he and factory's safely, or hot pad field supply's.
