You have to hold the calibrate key a little longer at that alt?  :lol

The problem is getting a Lancaster to 35k with bombs in the first place ;)

I suppose you don't fly bombers much or hunt them at altitude...  :P

Just the Tu-2 for dropping 2200lb bombs on Tankers. :P

That being said I see quite a few insanely high bombers that seem to have been equipped with GPS guided ordnance. It feels that way on the rare occasions that I fly bombers too. :)

So, the environment is fine.  The game play is what you make of it.  Instead of changing the environment, change your tactics.    :salute

Oh, b-17 and B-29 can go insanely high for sure, though they mostly do/did that during strat raids and the occasional town milk session. 30K+ bombers supporting base captures are extremely rare ...

And for the Lancaster at altitude...

Yet again.. Maybe you should go back to warbi.. Oh right, you can't.  :D

Also it takes one set of 35k Lancasters to WF a town and one Dora to deack. Pretty easy if you ask me.

Lame.

I give your flawed take 1/10.  Obviously Arlo has a shade account to pat himself on the back.

Yeah.  Like I mentioned before, WBs was more fun in that regard.  Who wants to lug a buff to 30k?   That's boring to me.   I want fights and mayhem that I can generate as a lone wolf.  We had plenty of that over there.  A single JABO could start a furball pretty easily.  It made the pace faster even with lower numbers.

I don't think you're at 'lone wolf' status yet but I applaud your desire. A jabo run is another thing. Anyone can kamikaze a radar.

While I agree with the principles of play style, I think hordes are not resulting due to difficulty of capture.  Hordes exist simply because there is safety and shared success while in a large group.  Let the targets continue to flock together.  They are easier to find that way. :aok

As a relatively new player, I used the above tactic whenever I could. I felt that if I flew with other players that not only would I be safer and more likely to live longer, but I might actually learn something by listening in on vox or simply watching other players...

NO NEW PLAYER WANTS TO FLY ALONE!  That being said, it's human nature to join a group; this is what creates the horde plus pearl necklace effect. A smaller group takes off or announces, and other players scramble to join the fun.

Base take is what the attackers AND defenders make it. I don't feel that base taking is too easy or too hard. I really don't understand the feeling of being cheated by a larger group of players (cohesive or not) achieving a base capture.... I'm but a simple noob and that's my $0.02.
