All those that want subs in the game need to use nothing but an LVT in the water for 24 hours and then come back and tell how fun it is. :)

Can someone explain how a 20 mph (surfaced) U-boat catches a 35 mph AH Task Force?  It's difficult (and tedious) to do even with the 45 mph PT boat.

If subs were ever to be added to AH, I would suspect that slow naval supply convoys would also have to be added as targets, especially since those would be on fixed (and therefore eventually known) paths and easier to intercept.

Just wait until twenty of them surface just off the coast of a field and start vulching with the deck-gun, or you get dragged to one with it's AA gun in the middle of nowhere.

We need subs because those laser guided 5"ers won't let any other torps near those deathstar CVs.  :old:

I still enjoy playing Silent Hunter III from time to time. But I can also watch a movie, cook a four course meal, and read half of War and Peace while I move into position to attack a convoy. Not quite my idea of fun in Aces High
