1. How will the software distinguish between intentional and accidental crashes?
2. There is already one: If you fly into your enemy you will take damage, quite often your opponent will not

Don't fly into people and you won't take damage.

I have won only 2 collisions out of at least 100 where I'm not the guy falling to earth or blowing up immediately.

Stop flying into other airplanes then.

As context, I have a 30-50ms connection to HTC and "win" most of the collisions I am involved with because I don't hit the enemy airplane.

Ping times don't actually matter, but some people insist that good ping times cause collision losses so I mentioned them.

If you collide, YOU SHOULDN'T WIN! So DON'T COLLIDE!

Why is this so hard to understand people!

Title says nothing useful. Would you like an explanation of the collision model?

This.

Sounds like it.

The fact of the mater is that it's almost (if not is) impossible to tell when a collision was accidental or purposeful. I collided with an F4U yesterday because a frame rate of 10 combined with a dive speed of 500 mph made it impossible to avoid. Should I have been punished for that?

I understand how the collision model works. I am still baffled by the fact that I "Lose" 99% of collisions, even the ones where I am rammed from dead-6 by some idiot who can't figure out how to use his guns.

Maybe I should have been more clear.

Many of the collisions I have mentioned were me in a GV or buffs being attacked by a fighter.

I still don't see how an airplane can survive a collision with a tank but I've seen them fly off not even smoking after seeing the collide message.

I'd like to see film of a gv dying in a collision with a fighter.

More to the point, even if someone is intentionally crashing into opponents, why should he be penalized?

I can't say I have ever been rammed by anybody with intent to ram.  I have had collisions most often when the fight is real close.  I have hit someone from the six when their plane blended in with the ground graphics and once when I checked my six and I closed much faster than I thought.

Someone had posted awhile back both planes should lose a collision ever time.  I am afraid that would lead to ramming.

I just don't think intentional ramming is a significant issue.  I think it might be if it were not a pay to play game.

Yup.  Same here.  What greater penalty do you need?  Gonad electrocution?
