Shipyard strat
« on: March 02, 2014, 02:46:30 PM »
What do you gentlemen think of the idea of adding a shipyard strat to the game? It'd be placed at the port closest to the city, maybe have a small rail yard, and add a debatable amount of down time to CV reconstruction.

"We must shut down the trains to stop resupply of the Headquarters and strats, let's go bomb the railyards." This is a quote I've dreamed about hearing!

And if does ever happen...  :x

On the maps with the strat distributed about, when your country captures the nearest base to a strat. You can up a 110 and hover over the rail head and kill trains all night long every 10 minutes. It gets boring after the second choo choo spawns and you kill it. But, it does slow down the rebuild time if you have first reduced that strat to 0%.

Did you know you can belly land a C47 on the choo choo tracks and you will slide along for quite awhile? But, eventually some tree catches your wing, rips it off, and then the first train coming along flips you off the track ripping off your other wing and tail section. I still haven't tried belly landing an La7 on the tracks and waited for the choo choo to see if you can kill it shooting into the oncoming choo choo. Suppose I could test it offline first for the feasibility of the landing. Or maybe a 110 or 410. Even a Mossi......

Are you saying this could be abused?
