Skin Viewer Crashing When "MATERIALS" Options Selected

Skin Viewer v2.29 Patch 5.   

I click on Materials and then the OK button in the popup and get the following crash:

Correct Skin Viewer and the P51D does work.

Did you change anything?  I can click, "OKay" and it just closes the dialog.  In the two drop down lists "Plane" and "Skin ID", do they match?  They should both be P51D.

Yes. 

Yes and also the default skin.  Both crash.  I tried the default 109 skin as well several times, too.

the skin viewer crashes on me pretty much every time I start it, sometimes it takes a couple tries then will start...

I originally had the exe on my desktop and it would never run....I have to run it from inside the folder

Yes, the executable has to be in the game home root folder.

It is but I have a shortcut to that on my desktop.   Will try clicking inside the folder and see what it does.

Are you sure it is a shortcut and that the executable did not get dragged to the desktop?  Right-click on the ICON and it will tell you.

Very sure.   I never changed the label from "Shortcut to..."

keep trying, sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times before mine will start.


if not then I have no clue

It does everything else ok.  Zoom feature is kinda wacky but....
