You guys might be surprised to know that Rocky's father was one of the Tuskegee Airmen
Rocky is a very good guy - he uses that pony like it is his baby - the point is to return home to him..that is his coin he is spending to get a feeling that no one else in this game most likely could understand... Don't tell him I told you- I respect him a lot- not just for in game, but life in general... maybe you might be surprised to also know he is a very successful physician... I am sure his dad is proud of him.
Tell him next time you are chasing him- NwBie says hi :)

I respect the heritage. Rocky does seem like a genuinely good guy. He is entitled to play however he wants but he has to understand if everybody flew like him in the MA there wouldn't be a game to be played. I've fought with him and against him and, in both cases, he has been the most self serving player I can remember encountering.

There'd still be plenty of fights. He's easy enough to shoot down. Got him twice again yesterday and almost shot him down a third time, but his friendlies saved him. Got some good FRAPs of him running 3+ grids while dragging me through his base ack 2-3 times after he engaged me with an alt advantage, P-51 vs P-51.

Someone might be nice, but just because they're respectable as a person doesn't mean you should respect flying skills that aren't there.

I like flying with Rocky.  I could see flying against him could get frustrating  :D

Thats fine, but I'll take a nice, fun, positive player with whatever level of skill over an uber pilot with a crappy personality any day.

I have far more respect for a person who has the self-discipline and stability to contain their own personality & enjoy the game in their own way than an 'uber' stick who cannot.

In all my interactions with Rocky he's always been courteous.

Most everyone goes overboard at some point and loses it in this game...but to continue to dislike a person simply because you don't "respect" their fighting style is a bit loony.

Self serving/selfish people are often disliked. I don't know how that can be loony, I'd call it due cause.

Would self-discipline apply to someone calling you several four and five-letter words, including but not limited to "p****," "b****," "wench," etc.? ;)

With all the trash talking and ankle humping you were doing on 200 towards him, no wonder he called you a few names.

Granted, but this hasn't been my experience with the indivdual in question.  He's been very nice when I've caught him co-altitude and killed him.  :)   I can't always say I've reacted with grace when subjected to similar circumstances...so who am I to judge him, eh?   :frown:
