Nice!  :aok

What will you use it for? CGI? Game engine?

looks great :aok

way to many verts to be useful for anything but rendering........unless you are using the subserf modifier....and have a nice lo poly base mesh....

Lo poly modeling is what you should consider doing....

create a good lo poly.......UV map it........duplicate it....multires the copy...sculpt the copy...create a Normal map from the Hi poly to Lo poly mesh.....

not saying thats the only way to do it...but after 10s of thousands of hours of Blender use..... reading massive amounts of tutorials and articles on Blender....

thats the path I have found to be easiest and fastest....

it does look great :aok

Thank you
I make this model for me. I love planes.
i use subdivision surface mod. I am newbie with blender, second problem is English :)
For me Blender is better tool, than 3d max. My first 3d studio was DOS version 3D Studio 4.0 :old:

Ink, i know you made your 3d plane . Time show your progress  :rock

I haven't done much too it...

I am working on 3 of em now :o

most of my time I am putting into models for "Eat Humans" a game I am working on....

and learning the scripting aspect of game making....

I agree you should model for your self...but you never know...your work so far(especially being a Blender noob) looks real nice, and you may find an opportunity to make Game models.....which absolutely need to be done in Lo poly....

here you can see I have less 5500..polys...

TIP for Blender....the cross section images("A" "B" "C" ECT ECT) are "empties" added to the scene and used as images...

the nieuport

and hi poly engine

G-55

but honestly my true passion is organic modeling...specifically wildlife...

hi poly

fully animated spider....

any help or tips you need in Blender Dont hesitate to ask :salute

very nice :aok

if you want to experiment with the lighting...without too much trouble...

go to "File" then to "user preferences"

a new window will open....on the far right is a tab called "system"  on the far right you will see 3 "spheres" each having 2 "color" pickers...the spec and diffuse.....

here you can change the color of the lighting and the direction of the light...put your mouse curser over any of the spheres and click to move the direction....in your view port where the object is you can see the effects....

this only effects the object if you have no material on it...so its great for basic modeling and sculpting...

also when you save and quit out....the lighting will go back to the default color and direction.

there is also a addon for blender that is called "matcap" which is a very good view port object renderer...gives you different types such as clay...metal...chrome....ECT ECT

the progress is excellent so far .... :aok
